About

Hi, I’m Razaq.

I write EVDrive, a small independent publication about electric cars. I started it because buying an EV, for most people, still feels harder than it should. There is plenty of information out there, but too much of it is written for enthusiasts, or by people selling something. I wanted a place that speaks plainly to ordinary drivers who are weighing up their first electric car.

My focus is on the practical side of going electric: what a car costs to run, how charging fits into a normal week, which models are actually good value, and what ownership feels like after the first few months. I read the spec sheets and the fine print so you don’t have to, and I test claims against real-world driving instead of repeating what a brochure says.

How EVDrive works

Every guide and comparison on this site starts from a real question a buyer would ask. I don’t take payment to recommend a car, and if a manufacturer or dealer offers a test drive or an event invitation, that never buys a favourable word. Where a link earns the site a small commission, I say so — you can read the full detail on the Disclosure page.

What you’ll find here

  • Buying guides that walk you through a first EV purchase, step by step.
  • Charging, explained the way it actually works at home and on the road.
  • Honest numbers on costs and ownership, not just the sticker price.
  • Model comparisons that weigh range, charging, space and value fairly.
  • News and new technology, with the noise stripped out.

I can’t answer every question on the site itself, but if you have one, ask me — the Contact page is the fastest way to reach me. If enough readers ask the same thing, it usually becomes the next article.
