EVDrive exists to help people make good decisions about electric cars. This page explains how the site is written, how it is funded, and how we handle mistakes — so you can judge for yourself whether to trust what you read here.

Independent, first and foremost

EVDrive is written by Razaq, and nobody pays for a recommendation on this site. Manufacturers, dealers and charging companies do not review articles before publication, do not approve what is written about them, and cannot buy coverage. A test drive or an event invitation may occasionally be offered, and will be accepted or declined on its own merits — it never guarantees a favourable word, and it doesn’t have to be mentioned in the article unless it is relevant.

How articles are researched

Every article starts from a question a real buyer would ask. Before writing, we check the manufacturer’s own figures, independent tests where they exist, and what owners say about living with the car day to day. Where figures conflict — for example, a claimed range versus what drivers actually see — we say so rather than picking the flattering number. Prices are checked at the time of writing and dated where they matter.

Comparisons and recommendations

Comparisons are made on the things that matter to drivers: real-world range, charging speed, running costs, space, warranty and value for money. We don’t rank cars on a single statistic, and we don’t crown a ‘best’ car without saying best for whom. If a car has a clear weakness, we name it — a comparison that only mentions the good points isn’t worth reading.

Reviews and test drives

Where an article draws on hands-on experience, it says so. Where it is based on research rather than a drive, it says so too. We don’t present second-hand information as if we experienced a car ourselves.

Corrections

Mistakes happen, and we’ll always rather correct one than leave it standing. If you spot an error — a wrong price, a wrong range figure, a claim that doesn’t match your experience — write to razaqali@gmail.com. Genuine errors are corrected promptly and, where the change is significant, the correction is noted in the article.

Funding and affiliate links

EVDrive is funded by its readers. Some links on the site are affiliate links, which means the site may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate income never decides what we recommend, and a product that doesn’t deserve a recommendation won’t get one, commission or not. The full detail is on the Disclosure page.

Use of AI

Articles are written by a person, not generated by a machine. Tools may occasionally help with routine tasks such as checking spelling or formatting, but the research, the judgement and the final words are human.
