EVDrive is a reader-funded publication. This page explains how the site earns money, because that can affect what you read — and you deserve to know.

Affiliate links

Some links on EVDrive are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the site may earn a small commission from the seller. It costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is the same. These commissions help pay for the site’s running costs and the time spent researching and writing.

Affiliate links never decide what we write about or what we recommend. A product that doesn’t deserve a recommendation will not get one, whether or not it pays a commission. Where a comparison names a product, the reasons for the recommendation are always given in the article itself, so you can judge them on their merits.

Advertising

At present EVDrive does not run display advertising. If that changes — for example, if the site starts carrying ads from a network — this page will be updated to say so, and advertising will never influence the content of an article.

Sponsored content and partnerships

EVDrive does not publish paid-for articles, advertorials or sponsored posts disguised as editorial content. If the site ever accepts a sponsored piece in future, it will be clearly labelled as sponsored and kept separate from editorial recommendations.

Test drives and invitations

Manufacturers or dealers may occasionally offer a test drive, a loan car or an event invitation. Accepting one does not oblige us to write about the car, and it never buys a favourable opinion. Where a loan or invitation materially contributed to an article, we will say so.
